An avid practitioner of gymnastics as a child, Alana was drawn to Yoga for its similarities in playful asanas like backbends and inversions. She later discovered the emotional, spiritual and physical benefits of yoga through dedicated practice. Improved health, self-awareness and self-discipline are just a few of the many rewarding benefits she has received. Alana attributes these benefits and her successful defeat of an 8-year nicotine addiction to the transformative effects of Yoga.
Alana teaches creative Vinyasa flow sequences inspired by both Eastern and Western traditions. Her intention is to help her students achieve focus and serenity while offering a fun but challenging practice, with modifications for students of all levels.
ACCREDITATION Alana received her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification from New York Yoga, a Yoga Alliance Registered training facility.
In addition to her Certification, Alana holds a B.S. in Finance & Management from SUNY Albany, and an M.B.A. concentrated in Finance & Marketing from Fordham University.
